The Admissions Department organises the administration of patient registration, admission and discharge of elective patients to the hospital. It also provides 24 hour support to the Emergency Department.

The Admissions Department manages:
|
- Patient registrations and birth registrations (using JBase and Clara information systems)
- Patient label distribution
- Admission and discharge of patients within the hospital (transfer of patients)
- The operation of enquiry desk
- Clerical triage of the emergency patient and clerical support in the Emergency department
- Provides patients with GP details for ongoing community support
- Lost property (for the Women’s), monitoring / storage / distribution of keys at the Women’s (NETS Ambulances, CASA).

- Medicare Card

- List of medications
- Any other relevant paperwork as discussed in the clinic appointments or with the GP
