The Women's Drug and Alcohol Service has been operating at the Royal Women's Hospital as a specialist clinic for pregnant women with drug and alcohol issues since 1987.

The service has evolved to become a statewide drug and alcohol service providing clinical services as well as professional support and education programs.

To advance the provision of informed and optimal multi-disciplinary care for pregnant women with drug and alcohol issues and their infants (see Neonatal abstinence syndrome) through:
