Clinic Access Centre

The Women’s Clinic Access Centre is a comprehensive service for managing all new referrals to outpatient clinics.

The Women’s Clinic Access Centre accepts and processes all new outpatient referrals to ensure an efficient, clinically appropriate and timely response for both the referring health professional and the woman seeking a clinic appointment.

All referrals will be electronically logged by the Women’s Clinic Access Centre once received and confirmation will be sent to both the referring GP/health professional and the woman.

All referrals are triaged by senior clinical teams and appointments will be allocated according to the information provided. Referrals will need to contain the following minimum patient information to be processed:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Date of birth
  • Phone (preferably mobile)
  • Reason for referral
  • Gestation /LNMP (for maternity referrals)

Additional information, including details of tests / investigations / past history is extremely useful to facilitate effective triage and specialist consultation.
