The Royal Women's Hospital Clinical Practice Guidelines present statements of 'Best Practice' based on thorough evaluation of evidence.
Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs) define how a procedure is performed, or a condition managed. They allow some flexibility on the part of the clinician based on the specific patient for whom they are caring.
CPGs should aid risk assessment, risk avoidance and ultimately risk management. The Women's CPGs aim to provide concise instructions on how best to manage health conditions, or brief the reader with a clinical problem and provide practical advice regarding assessment and management.
