The dysplasia service offers assessment, treatment and review to women with abnormal Pap smears, persistent post coital bleeding or any macroscopically suspicious lesion on the cervix.
|
Patients with high grade abnormalities and suspicious lesions are seen within four weeks, and women with persistent low grade abnormalities will be seen within eight to twelve weeks from referral. The dysplasia unit is compliant with NHMRC follow up guidelines which ensure an early discharge back to the family doctor.
