Education and Training

"Education does improve practice..."

Clinical Practice Review. The Royal Women's Hospital offers a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary education and training program for health professionals and health care agencies.

Education and training courses

As Australia's leading specialist hospital for women and newborn babies, our renowned annual education and training program is designed to support best practice care that meets the specific needs of women.

The program incorporates tailored short courses and seminars ranging from breastfeeding education to infection diseases. Check this site regularly for new courses offered throughout the year.

Postgraduate education & training

The Women's also facilitates an extensive postgraduate education program designed to support the development and implementation of evidence-based practice.

The program supports continuous improvement in clinical care and is open to all health professionals interested in the cause, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of medical disorders affecting women and newborn babies.

The program includes seminars, guest lectures and regular 'Grand Rounds' - a series of postgraduate lectures on a range of significant topics.

Health professionals are also encouraged to participate in various Journal Clubs at the Women's. The clubs foster the critical appraisal and dissemination of recently published articles.

Details of upcoming meetings, lectures and conferences are published in the Women's Research and Education Services newsletter; Logon.
