Celebrating the Women’s 155th anniversary

This year marks the 155th anniversary of the Royal Women’s Hospital since its opening in 1856. Today, the Women’s is Australia’s largest independent specialist hospital and focuses on whole-of-woman’s health for women of all ages.

The Women’s will be celebrating the 155 year milestone with a Pink Tie fundraising gala event to be held on 26 November 2011 at the magnificent Mural Hall.

Charity Golf Day

A Charity Golf Day for the Royal Women’s Hospital was held on 25th February, 2011 by the VFL Club Foundation, at The Victoria Golf Club in Cheltenham Victoria. Eighty golfers in teams of four enjoyed a great day of golf at the world-class venue that included a golf clinic, lunch and a two-course dinner.

The day helped raise vital funds for equipment and research at the Women’s Neonatal Intensive and Special Care service. A big thank you to the VFL Foundation and to Full Circle Management.



The Australian Ballet danced for the Women's in a spell-binding performance of The Nutcracker support of "Liz's Fund" on September 11th, 2010.

  • The VFL Club Foundation, in conjunction with the PGA of Victoria and Kingston Heath Golf Club, presented a Pro-Am Charity Golf Day on Tuesday 11 May 2010.


Gala Opening Night, From A2B, by Warrick Glynn was presented on Wednesday 27 January, 2010 as part of the Midsumma Festival. Proceeds were donated to the Liz Mann Fund for the Women's Cancer Research Centre.
