Professor Fiona Judd is Director of the Centre for Women's Mental Health at the Royal Women's Hospital, and Professorial Fellow within the University of Melbourne’s Department of Psychiatry. She was Associate Professor within the Department of Psychiatry at the Austin Hospital and subsequently Royal Melbourne Hospital before moving to Monash University in 2000 to the inaugural Chair in Rural Mental Health based at Bendigo.

Professor Judd has a long standing interest in women's mental health and Consultation-Liaison psychiatry with a particular focus on the assessment and treatment of anxiety and depression in individuals with physical health problems. Her research has sought to understand factors contributing to the development of these disorders as well as focusing on the most appropriate treatments for them. In addition, she has wide-ranging interests in primary care psychiatry encompassing education, training for general practitioners and developing models of care particularly at the interface between primary care and specialist practice.
