The Royal Women's Hospital recognises that a woman’s health is dependant on her physical, social, psychological, spiritual and cultural wellbeing.

The health of women as caregivers; mothers, daughters and sisters is critical to thriving families and communities. With that in mind, we aim to make sure that all women have access to the tools they need to maintain their health, to improve their health or to navigate the health system when their health is compromised.
We offer a range of activities, programs and information that promote choice, empowerment and self determination. We aim to prevent illness through comprehensive education campaigns as well as taking a leadership role in advocating for improvements to women’s health care.
The Women’s has recently been accredited by the World Health Organisation as a ‘Health Promoting Hospital’. This is in recognition of our efforts to incorporate the concepts, values and standards of health promotion into the organisational structure and culture of the hospital.
The health information we provide is evidence-based and developed in partnership with women and health care professionals. We welcome your feedback and comments.
We also encourage your active involvement in helping us to develop our information. Send your feedback or suggestions to rwh.publications@thewomens.org.au.
