Newborn Intensive and Special Care (NISC)

Neonatal Services provide a comprehensive neonatal paediatric service for infants born at the Royal Women's Hospital and infants born elsewhere who require care in Newborn Intensive and Special Care.



We provide a family-centered care environment in a state-of-the-art facility that has been designed specifically with the needs of babies and families in mind.

Hours and days of service operation


24 hours a day, every day of the year.

Parents can be with their baby at any time. Friends or other family who visit need to be accompanied by parents, or require written permission from the parents.
