Caring for women and communities affected by FGM

 | Dr Comfort Momoh spoke at a lecture series in April 2009, that was focussed on improving health professionals' identification, care and referral for women affected by Female Genital Mutilation while responding to the practice as a human rights issue.

Orchestra Victoria Concert

 | The Women’s, Orchestra Victoria and City of Melbourne presented a free lunchtime concert at Melbourne Town Hall in December 2007, with a program to delight all ages.

Women on Call: Balancing Work and Life

 | A forum was held in October 2007, at the Royal Women's Hospital.
Dr Sara Charlesworth, Senior Research Fellow at RMIT, spoke about the intersection of work quality and women's mental health and wellbeing.
Samiro Douglas, the Manager of WIRE gave the audience the low-down on resources available to women to get the balance right.
Kelly Nash MC'd a session with three other women, sharing stories on what works and what doesn’t work.

Breast cancer - public forum

 | Topic: 'Advances in treatment and care options for women suffering from Breast Cancer'. The forum looked at the breast cancer services available to Victorian women. The main speaker was Professor Bruce Mann, Professor/Director of Breast Services and Head of the Breast Tumour Stream, at the Royal Women’s Hospital and the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
