There have always been lesbian parents - often women who conceived their children in previous heterosexual relationships. Now there are many more women choosing to create families as lesbians. In fact, there is a baby boom going on in lesbian communities!
The Pride and Joy booklet and its online version aims to bring together some essential facts from the confusing and often hard-to-find mass of information about creating lesbian families. It cannot cover all issues, and should not be seen as a substitute for advice from your health professional or legal practitioner, particularly in view of the shifting legal situation.
