Collaborative reports

Understanding Women’s Experience of Unplanned Pregnancy and Abortion
This report was recently completed by the Key Centre for Women’s Health in Society (KCWHS) at the University of Melbourne in collaboration with the Women’s Pregnancy Advisory Service (PAS). The report summarises the findings and presents the recommendations arising from research investigating women’s experiences of considering, and/or undergoing an abortion in Victoria.

The three year project was funded by grants from the Australian Research Council and the Victorian Health Promotion Foundation (VicHealth). It has enabled the Royal Women’s Hospital to make a significant contribution to further understanding about aspects of women’s experiences of unplanned pregnancy and abortion.

The investigators comprised Prof Doreen Rosenthal, Dr Maggie Kirkman, Dr Heather Rowe and Dr Shelley Mallett of KCWHS, and Annarella Hardiman, Manager of Pregnancy Advisory Service

For more information, or for a hard copy of the report please email the
