Shared Maternity Care means that during a woman's pregnancy care she can visit both the Women’s and her GP affiliated with the hospital or midwife at one of the hospital’s community clinics.
|
The birth of the baby will be at the Women's Hospital in Parkville. Women come to the hospital for their first pregnancy care appointment. They also need to come to the hospital or one of the hospital community clinics for three of their pregnancy care appointments: at 26 weeks, 36 weeks and 41 weeks.
