The Women's Alcohol & Drug Service is a statewide, voluntary service providing care and support for pregnant women with ongoing drug and alcohol issues as well as professional support and education programs.

We provide informed and optimal multi-disciplinary care for pregnant women with drug and alcohol issues and their infants (see Neonatal abstinence syndrome) through:

- Clinical services for women requiring intensive pregnancy care due to drug or alcohol complexities
- Professional statewide education and support for health professionals and service providers
|
- Research
- Advocacy for women and their infants
|

The Women's Alcohol and Drugs Service operates a duty system for all initial enquiries, referrals and pre-pregnancy information.
