The Women's Social Support (Social Work) services is dedicated to maximising women's choice and control over their own health care. We provide services to women and their babies from diverse backgrounds and provide support to women with complex psychosocial needs.

We support women through their maternity, neonatal, gynaecological and oncology experiences and provide information, counselling, support and advocacy for women in response to health and social needs, including:

- support for women going home from hospital
- assistance for women feeling the effects of isolation, depression or anxiety
- support during unplanned, complicated or multiple pregnancy
- support with options for women experiencing or at risk of violence
- support during situations of extreme distress or crisis
- bereavement support
- Centrelink Services or support with financial matters
- assistance with immigration and cultural concerns
- alcohol or substance use
- disabilities or special needs
- relationship concerns
- referral and information for community services.

Women can self refer
|
We provide a free and confidential service to women of all ages who are patients of the Women's.
Women can contact the Women’s Social Support (Social Work) services directly or ask their doctor or nurse to make a referral.
