Our Clinical Education team co-ordinates and facilitates a large number of workshops and programs for all registered nurses and midwives throughout the hospital.

The team takes the lead on facilitating:

  • Graduate programs
  • Clinical placements

Programs

As part of the Women’s commitment to building our future health workforce each year we facilitate nursing, midwifery and combined graduate programs.

Our programs include:

  • Graduate Nurse Program
  • Graduate Midwife Program
  • Graduate Nurse and Graduate Midwife Program
  • Undergraduate/Postgraduate Nursing/Midwifery Clinical Placement
  • Perineal Management Workshop
  • Complex Care Course
  • Fetal Monitoring Course
  • Adult Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Orientation for nurses and midwives
  • Undergraduate/Postgraduate Nursing/Midwifery Clinical Placement
  • Women's Oncology Professional Development Day Series (open to external participants)

The Womens is NOT currently conducting:

  • Return to Practice for Nurses and Midwives
  • Initial Registration for Overseas Nurses and Midwives
  • Refresher Course for Nurses and Midwives
