A charity golf tournament has raised more than $8500 for the Royal Women’s Hospital Foundation.

Physiotherapy manager Dr Margaret Sherburn accepted the donation on behalf of the Women’s, and gave a presentation to players about how the money will be used.

The state-wide Royal Women's Hospital 4BBB Stableford Competition raises funds for urogynaecology training and equipment for the pelvic floor dysfunction unit at the Women’s.

The event commenced in 2005, raising approximately $190,000 to date for this less well-known and less well-funded area of women’s health.

This year, 36 pairs qualified to compete in the state final at Yarra Yarra Golf Club.

We thank Golf Victoria – and all the women golfers who have participated – for their ongoing support and generosity.
