The Women’s is Australia’s first and largest specialist public hospital for women, established in 1856.

Our work goes beyond acute care; we have a unique role in the health system advancing research and practice, providing leadership and advocacy for women’s health.

As a full service facility we provide clinical expertise and leadership in maternity and gynaecology, health promotion, women’s cancer services, mental health and specialist care for newborn babies.
