First, you will be given a questionnaire, asking about your contact details, your identity, and your interest in the project.
We will use email to communicate to participants in this project. If you are concerned about your email being monitored by someone, you might like to create a new, safe email to use for this project. You can do this by going to a free webmail service and clicking on 'create an account'. For example, you could go to login.yahoo.com.au or microsoft.com
We will contact you to arrange a 30-minute interview to explore your reasons for wanting to participate, your safety, and your eligibility.
If you want to, you can use an alias (a made-up name) throughout this project. You do not have to tell us any information that you do not want to.
This project runs from September 2024 through to June 2026. During that time, you will be asked to take part in group workshops with up to 20 people, who are also victim-survivors of domestic, family, and/or sexual violence. Workshops may be on Zoom or in person at the University of Melbourne in Parkville. You will also be invited to take part in one-on-one interviews. In total, we are asking for 34 hours of your time, spread across 20 months.
The project is focussed on four separate parts:
- co-designing ideas to support Trauma and Violence Informed care in the hospital
- putting some of the ideas into place, if possible
- reflecting on what it was like to do this work
- creating a framework and practice guide for any future projects that are doing similar work.
