You can play an important role in changing attitudes towards older women.
Flesh After Fifty: changing images of older women in art is an exciting art program that celebrates women and ageing by challenging traditional representations of women over fifty in art, fashion, advertising and the media.
Planned for early 2021, this inspirational art program will feature a major art exhibition at Abbotsford Convent looking at the changing depiction of women in art over the decades and include contemporary and newly commissioned artwork by 10 Victorian artists. A program of activities will run to coincide with the exhibition and experts in women’s health and mental health will be holding events and information forums.
Your support will help the Flesh After Fifty team to deliver this ambitious and important program. Any contribution, big or small makes a difference!
The Flesh After Fifty art program is supported by Creative Victoria, the University of Melbourne, the Abbotsford Convent, and the Royal Women’s Hospital.
All donations to the Flesh After Fifty fund are tax deductible.
