Postgraduate Midwife applications

Applications

Candidates who have completed their postgraduate program of study to qualify as a midwife via a clinical placement model must apply via Midwifery/Nursing in the Victorian Allocation and Placement System (APS) – formerly Computer Match​ and the Women’s online recruitment site. Application requirements are clearly outlined on the Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria (PMCV) website.

Candidates who have completed their postgraduate program of study to qualify as a midwife via an employment model, apply directly via the Women’s online recruitment site. 

Required Documentation

STEP 1: 

  1. Cover Letter of application addressed to Jillian Blackman (one page). Your cover letter should identify the program you are applying for and your preferred start date (February or August 2023).
  2. Résumé/Curriculum Vitae (CV) with a clear scanned photo of yourself on the front page.
  3. Certified copy of transcript of results or interim results.
  4. Clinical Appraisals: Your two most recent clinical appraisals.
  5. Two referee contacts (Employment model only – other applicant references are via Midwifery/Nursing in the Victorian Allocation and Placement System (APS) – formerly Computer Match​. Application requirements are clearly outlined on the Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria (PMCV) website.

STEP 2: 

Applicants nominate clinical references on the Victorian Allocation and Placement System (APS)​ website.

NO faxed or mailed clinical reference forms will be accepted!

Interviews

The Women’s will be utilising the PMCV administered SONRU Video Interview for 2023 Graduate Recruitment.  For applicants not eligible for PMCV Computermatch, an alternative video or phone interview will be arranged with any shortlisted candidates.

Interviews for the 2023 graduate intake will take place in August/September 2022.
