MARAM Alignment Resources

The MARAM Alignment Resources are designed to support hospitals and health services to align to the Family Violence Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management Framework (MARAM).

The following resources have been developed:

  • MARAM alignment for hospitals and health services - Provides an overview of MARAM alignment requirements and outlines a process to assist hospitals and health services to develop a MARAM Alignment Action Plan.
  • Supporting Resource A: Workforce Mapping for MARAM Alignment – Proposes a methodology for mapping hospital and health services’ workforce against the 10 MARAM responsibilities.
  • Supporting Resource BMARAM Consultation Questions – Sample list of questions to gather information to inform the development of the Alignment Action Plan and Workforce Mapping document.
  • Supporting Resource CResource Audit Tool – Designed to assist hospitals and health services to undertake a systematic audit of established policies, procedures, guidelines and practice guides against the MARAM alignment requirements.
  • Supporting Resource DOrganisation Audit Tool – Designed to assist hospitals and health services to undertake a systematic audit of internal activities, structures and systems against the alignment requirements of MARAM.
  • Supporting Resource E: Facilitating Collaborative Practice – Designed to assist hospitals and health services to look at where they need to establish or strengthen partnerships between departments and with external agencies and associated processes to ensure the MARAM responsibilities can be met by their workforce.
  • Supporting Resource FMARAM Alignment Action Plan template – Provides a MARAM Alignment Action Plan blank template that hospitals and health services can use.
  • Supporting Resource GBriefing Paper – Example content in a briefing paper for hospital and health services’ executive leaders that can accompany the final MARAM Alignment Action Plan and Workforce Mapping for MARAM Alignment documents.
