You have been booked into the Gestational Diabetes Physiotherapy Class at the Women’s.
For women with Gestational Diabetes, exercise has a positive effect on blood glucose levels, and can reduce the need for insulin during pregnancy.
Your appointment will take place by telehealth video. This means you don't have to travel to the Women’s for your appointment. You'll receive a link via email to attend a group session with a Physiotherapist, Diabetes Educator and Dietitian.
You are asked to read several resources and videos before your session. Please see below the resources for you to read and watch, for the Physiotherapy component.
If you have any queries regarding the Physiotherapy component, please call (03) 8345 3160.
Before your appointment
- Watch the short video series in our Gestational Diabetes Physiotherapy Class playlist on YouTube (approx. 12 min)
- Please read the information sheet below How exercise can help you manage your diabetes
These resources are important preparation for your consultation.
