Animal visits at the Women’s

The Women’s recognises that animals can provide comfort, companionship and emotional support during a hospital stay. We welcome assistance animals and may be able to accommodate personal pet visits in some circumstances. To keep everyone safe, animal visits need to be planned with your treating team.

Before bringing an animal to the Women’s

Please speak with your treating team as early as possible so we can discuss arrangements and any safety requirements.

Where animals can visit

Some areas of the hospital are restricted to animals for infection prevention and safety reasons.

Caring for your animal

The person bringing the animal is responsible for its care and supervision throughout the visit.
