More than 180 staff have been recognised for their incredible dedication and passion as they mark their longstanding service to the Women’s.
Collectively, 184 staff contributed a staggering 3,110 years of knowledge, hard work and care.
Staff who have been at the Women’s for 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 years celebrated with colleagues at a ceremony and afternoon tea.
The Women’s Chief Executive Officer, Prof Sue Matthews, thanked them for their dedication to the Women’s.
“Your collective years of service represent not just time on the clock, but a profound and lasting impact on our patients, their families and our community,” she said.
Motivated to make a difference
Gabrielle Vincent has been a midwife at the Women’s for 30 years. Today, she works as a midwife in Birth Centre and as part of the Birth Reflections Team.
Even after 30 years, she still looks forward to coming to work every single day. It’s all about the camaraderie with her colleagues and the privilege of watching women birth their babies.
“I love being a midwife knowing that you’re making a difference for women and their families,” she said.
“Women are so strong and powerful and it amazes me every single day knowing what they can do.”
