In the early hours of Tuesday morning the Australian Bureau of Statistics predicted Australia’s population would tick over to 24 million.

And, as baby Xavier was ‪#‎bornatthewomens at 1.59am that day, he may well have been the country’s 24th million arrival.

Xavier is pictured here with dad Trent, mum Leanne, big brother Lachlan (2) and midwife Kylie.

Mum Leanne told the Herald Sun she went into labour at 4pm Monday on afternoon and Xavier arrived around nine hours later.

“Once the ball was rolling, he was eager to get out,” she said.
