Experts from the Women’s presented at the recent Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery Society’s (AGES) annual scientific meeting in Brisbane.

The program focused on the Modern Woman, a topic the organising committee said was everywhere: represented by patients, relatives, spouses, and colleagues. AGES President Anusch Yazdani said it was a theme central to the program.

Dr Salwan Al-Salihi, a consultant at the Women’s Urogynaecology Unit presented as did Fellow Karen Kong.

Karen had two presentations awarded: successful pregnancies in women seeking fertility enhancement with MRI-guided focused ultrasound (MRgFUS) fibroid ablation and also vaginal myomectomy for multiple cervical fibroids.

The Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery Society will hold a Pelvic Floor Symposium in Melbourne in July.
