Welcome to the Royal Women's Hospital, Australia’s largest specialist hospital dedicated to improving the health of all women and newborn babies.
The hospital is much more than a set of buildings, it is a community of committed and highly trained people working in many different specialty areas.
Our staff are committed to providing the highest standard of service and care to all patients. We aim to be considerate, courteous and respectful to our patients and their families, as well as to each other.
Members of our staff are here to help you and are dedicated to providing the best possible care during your stay. Please ask a member of staff if you have any queries or require further information.

Patient accounts
If you do not have a Medicare card or private health insurance, the hospital's Patient Accounts department will provide you with an invoice before your consultation.
You will need to pay this account at our cashiers' office, located on the ground floor of the hospital. For patients attending the Women's Community Clinics or attending the hospital out of business hours, invoices will be posted.
If you are having elective surgery, our Patient Accounts department and Overseas Patient Coordinator can give you more information about costs. All elective surgery patients need to pay before the surgery takes place.
For more information, view our fact sheet: 'What if I don't have a Medicare card?' or contact Patient Accounts.
