The Royal Women’s Hospital is leading research into the reproductive choices women make after having a test commonly marketed as a measure of fertility.

In a recently published study, our researchers call for disabilities to be routinely asked about and recorded on patient maternity records to enable disability-aware care for women who need it throughout their pregnancy and birth.

The Royal Women’s Hospital has marked National Sorry Day with a special webinar for its staff exploring intergenerational trauma, the role of the Women’s in the Stolen Generations and the importance of reconciliation and healing.

Key announcements commended by the Women’s include the $6.5 million for new and existing sexual and reproductive health hubs; $354 million for family violence prevention and response; $70 million for public IVF services; and the $6.9 million for community perinatal health teams.  

A test predicting the potentially fatal pregnancy condition, preeclampsia, has reached a milestone in its use here at the Women's – the first hospital in Australia to study and rollout use of the test.
