The Women’s has launched our new Strategic Plan 2026–2030, setting a bold direction for improving outcomes for women and newborns, and helping shape the future of women’s health.

The first babies have now been born through the donor arm of Victoria’s Public Fertility Care program, marking a key milestone and highlighting a growing need for egg and sperm donors.

New research from La Trobe University shows that culturally tailored maternity care is improving outcomes for First Nations families, with more babies born healthy and fewer requiring intensive care. The study was completed in partnership with the Women’s, Mercy Hospital for Women, and Joan Kirner Hospital for Women and Children.
